Okay, so here we are with another fitness DVD review. This one gets an average score of 4.5 out of 5 stars, so it’s up there with the best of them.

The workouts contained in this DVD are great for burning fat. They’re also great fun to do, and Comander Tom is great at getting you motivated to do the workouts. The only real down-side to it is that perhaps there could have been a bit more stretching included between the different workout sections, but that’s only a minor issue.

Ultimately, this workout is great fun, and it gives results quickly. If you’re looking for something to truly motivate you to get fit in a short time, then this DVD is a good choice.

The SWAT Workout is led by Tom Stroup, an actual SWAT commander. He has a great personality and a good rapport with the background exercisers. This is an interval workout. It consists of running in place, jumping jacks, “SWAT” thrusts, mountain climbers, boxers and other drils with the SWAT march between each drill to allow your heart rate to come down. It’s a good workout for burning fat, increasing endurance and agility. I love drill type workouts, but even if it’s not your thing, Tom’s personality makes it fun. The SWAT workout isn’t such a killer workout that it has a huge dread factor, but it isn’t a walk in the park either. It can be modified for a beginner, but an experienced exerciser can get a good workout too.

SWAT-WORK PROGRAM IS THE BEST! ★★★★★ 

This is BEST total workout ever. I’ve tried Power90, Beach body, Tae-Bo….but there is something about this workout that beats the other programs hands down…It’s so addictive in positive way. I love what it has done to for my body. I was in good shape before…But now, in great shape! What I like most is that you get a total body workout…every muscle in your body in the shortest amount of time. A plus for busy lives! This is a must buy…You will absolutely love the program!!! Any workout programs that Commander Tom produces, you should definitely purchase…you will be so glad you did!

Of all the fitness gurus out there, Jillian Michaels is without a doubt one of the toughest. Anyone who tries one of her workout videos will tell you that they are a real butt-kicking challenge, and this particular video is certainly no exception.

Although this workout video include no weights or equipment, don’t be fooled into thinking it’s any easier than any of her other other workouts. Make no mistake, this is a full-on hardcore cardio workout. It’s so tough in fact, that some people who were able to do her previous workouts have had difficulty in completing this one.

So be warned: this workout will push you to your limit!

Great workout but use with caution ★★★★☆ 


This is one tough workout, probably suited to moderate level exercisers. I did it on comcast for about a month and you burn calories and sweat like crazy. Jillian incorporates a lot of jump work (plyometrics), kickboxing movies, and moving core work. The only problem is I pulled a muscle doing one of the jump moves. I was out of commission for 3 weeks recovering. Luckily it wasn’t major as in requiring no surgery. However, I would recommend doing more warm-up and cool-down stretches then offered on the DVD, preferably the old-school stretches. I hold each stretch for 30 seconds each. My knees are not really bad, but when I do this workout they hurt afterward. Remember, joint pain is never good!…

Excellent overall but sometimes hard to follow ★★★★★ 

CRAZY!!! I consider myself to be in fairly good shape, but this is tough stuff! I like to run a few times a week and I’ve been doing one of Jillian Michael’s DVDs and really like her style. But I really want to shape my butt and thighs because it’s the only area I’m not happy with and what I’d been doing wasn’t cutting it. I was seriously considering getting a personal trainer to help me concentrate on these areas and then I saw this on TV and it felt like a much better (and cheaper) choice!

I have done the Bum Bum, Cardio Axe, High and Tight and Tummy Tuck so far (still on week one). As some reviewers have commented, Leandro can be hard to follow, he does move quickly from one set of moves into the next.

However, these workouts absolutely target the butt and lower body, more than any I’ve ever done…

Jillian is one of the most motivating fitness trainers out there, and this exercise DVD is certainly no exception. The video is split into three 20 minute self-contained workouts, so you can easily fit these into your day. You get a good hard workout here, and the moves are very well instructed and demonstrated. Get this video if you really want to get super fit in super short time.

I cannot say enough to recommend this video. Really. It is the most effective, most challenging, and yet completely motivating workout I have ever done. (And I’ve done a few.) It is completely brilliant- a 20 minutes workout that actually kicks your butt; the length of the workout really makes you feel like you have got to push yourself and get through it, because you tell yourself, who can’t do 20 minutes? Psychologically, it really makes you want to finish, and finish strong. And it pays dividends. Out of all the workout DVDs we have reviewed, this one is literally THE BEST. First things first, this is Jillian Michaels, top American personal trainer, who has appeared on the TV show The Biggest Loser. Jillian has released many exercise DVDs, but this one really is the best, because here she provides a complete full-body workout, leaving no body part untoned.

With the video just 50 minutes long, it’s truly amazing how Jillian manages to fit so much into one workout video. Phenonmenal Workout-Toruble Zones Be Gone

I am a huge fan of the Jillian Michael’s approach to fitness. I used her Shred 30 program and lost 29 pounds in two months by doing the workouts and following the diet recommended on her website. Let me start by saying I am not one of these people who just “LOVES” to workout. I do it because I need change.
